A while ago my relatively new laptop was having these problems with its speakers, the sound would cut in and out. It wouldn’t happen all the time, just enough to be nuisance. Until eventually the speakers stopped working all together. Great. Strangely enough, a person from dell called not to long after my speakers went dead to see if I was satisfied with my Laptop. I of course proceeded to tell him about my speaker problem. He gave me the number I should call to get it fixed and a special code I could enter so that I wouldn’t have to navigate the seemingly endless automated machines.
That was about two weeks ago, and I still haven’t called. Mainly due to the fact that I have a very simple way around the problem, I just plug my laptop into my fairly good speaker system and just like that, I have sound. Calling them just sounds like such a hassle and there really inst that much of a reason if I have a seamless way around the problem. But of course I will call them eventually, just so my laptop is independent of my room.

It seems as if a Call of Duty Black Ops 2 is on the way, as a picture of a preorder card for this exact title was just leaked on the web. The card indicated that the game will be available on November 13, following their usual schedule for early fall release dates. Although the preorder card does not give away anything specific about the game other then its release date, it seems to confirm the Treyarch will be following their pattern of splitting up the Modern Warfare releases with traditional Call of Duty Games.
So tell me what you guys think about a new Black Ops game. Did you like the first one or did you think it was a failure in the Call of Duty series? Do you plan on buying this new Call of Duty game when it comes out? Let me know in a comment!
Today I managed to get down to the game store and purchase [Prototype2]. After that my mom wanted to go into the “As seen on TV” store, where I was pleasantly surprised to spark a lengthy conversation about the Prototype games with the person working at the store. After that was over we went back to the house and I stated playing my freshly purchased game. I didn’t get too much play time but I think it’s safe to say that Prototype 2 is astoundingly better than its predecessor and will be a game that I thoroughly enjoy playing. I will most likely do a more in depth post about Prototype 2 next week when I’ve had sufficient play time. But until then,

Like Ryan, I am a very avid YouTuber. In fact, the majority of my time spent on the computer is on YouTube. Most of the time I just watch videos relevant to what I am currently interested in, but over the years I have found specific YouTubers who hold my interest beyond a single video.
Here is a list I comprised of my top 5 favorite YouTubers.
Philip DeFranco does a news shoe Monday through Thursday.
SeaNanners does video game commentary and works with Machinima
3) Machinima Respawn
Machina Respawn is a collaboration between a collection of different Machinima producers who upload video game commentaries.
SourceFed is another channel that uploads real world news Monday through Thursday and was actually initiated by SxePhil
The VlogBrothers are two friends that started out communicating to each other via YouTube video and over time acquired a very large audience
This is just a random list of my top 5. Let me know who some of your favorite YouTubers are in a comment!
When I made a post about my favorite Youtube series I thought it would maybe be a good post idea to pick some of my favorite episodes. So that’s what this post is, but that turned out to be much harder than I thought. It was so hard to pick because I loved each episode so much, in the end, I suppose I mostly picked the episodes that stood out most in my memory.
I couldn’t possibly put them in any certain order, so here are my top 5 favorite episodes of Two Best Friends Play
Two Best Friends Play: Deadly Premonition
Two Best Friends Play: Xbox Live Indie Games
Two Best Friends Play: Man Vs. Wild
Two Best Friends Play: Dead Rising 2 Off the Record
Two Best Friends Play: Prison Break
Honestly it would probably have been easier to make a list of the Two Best Friends episodes that aren’t the best. But I had much more fun reminiscing in the amazing times instead of instead of really good times. So in case you haven’t noticed by now I’m a pretty hard core fan of Matt and Pat.
So what do you think of my favorite episodes, Two Best Friends, or Youtube Game commentators in general? Let me know in a comment!
For the first time in Nintendo‘s history it released it’s profit statistics and the results were negative. One of the greatest gaming companies in the world lost over $500 million dollars during the last fiscal year. You may be wondering how this could be possible considering that the previous year they managed to pull in just under $1 billion dollars in profits and were doing a good job of dominating the video game market. Well, they did not release any new systems this year or any new franchises to encourage consumers to spend more money on their products. In fact, the company was forced to reduce the price of the Nintendo 3Ds, one of their top selling products, to around $170, which is less then it costs to produce, generating a net loss.
Although things currently look grim for Nintendo, they could stills trike back in the coming year. With the release of the Nintendo Wii U there will be a huge increase in sales as well as new franchises to support this new product. Nintendo seems to be counting on countering this negative year with an extremely successful upcoming year.
I personally feel as if Nintendo is slowly being fazed out of the gaming world as more and more gamers switch to major consoles such as the Xbox and the PlayStation. Although I respect Nintendo for everything it has contributed to the gaming world, despite a select few games, I am not incredibly drawn to Nintendo’s products. I don’t foresee any major comebacks for Nintendo in the upcoming year. Although they will most definitely do better financially with the release of new products, I feel that the only way for Nintendo to live up to the company it once was, is to create something completely new that can dominate the market without competing with better companies with bigger audiences and better games.
This is just my opinion. What do you guys think about Nintendo and are you surprised by these statistics? Let me know in a comment!
I am sure that many of you have heard of those rare occasions when a child’s obsession with video games get out of hand and parents end up getting hurt. I specifically remember one incident back in 2008, when a 17 year old kid by the name of Daniel Petric shot and killed his mother and wounded his father because they refused to allow him to play Halo 3. Yesterday, a similar incident occurred, but this time with a 4 year old boy in Saudi Arabia.
Apparently, the boy wanted his father to buy him a PlayStation. When the father returned from the store without the requested device, the boy picked up the handgun his father had temporarily set down and he fatally shot him in the head.
This killing is astonishing, simply due to the young age of the boy and the circumstances under which he shot his father. Despite the tragic nature of this killing, the event has already sparked controversy over the issue of video game violence corrupting youth. Although I don’t personally think this was the case in this instance due to the extremely young age of the kid, many feel as if even a 4 year old may have been motivated to kill because of the numbing effect of violent video games.
So what do you guys think about this whole situation and what are your opinions on video game violence and their effect on impressionable youth?
